Congratulations to our third year apprentice, Luke Cameron for being nominated as apprentice of the year with the Master Builders Association of Victoria. Luke has been nominated as an outstanding student and conscientious achiever by Skill Training Victoria during his course in Roof Tiling and Slating.

Luke began his apprenticeship with Raving Roofing back in 2011 and has been a integral part of our team ever since.

Sarking

Sarking is an insulation barrier which reflects 95% of radiant heat, keeping you cooler in the summer and warmer in winter.

Sarking can only be installed during construction or re roofing when your roof space is accessible. Sarking is optional of new roofs / extensions however it is mandatory in bush fire prone areas due to its fire retardant. It provides ongoing protection against the elements such as burning embers and radiant heat generated by bushfires.

  • Free inspection and detailed written quotation provided.
  • Sample tiles and brochures provided for roof tile selection.
  • Installation of Safety Rail in accordance with Worksafe Victoria, working at heights above 2 metre Rule.
  • Remove all the old roof tiles and ridge caps ready to take away for recycling.
  • Check the roofing structure to ensure it is in good condition.
  • Install sarking if requested.
  • Install new roof battens.
  • Lay new roof tiles, using  fixing clips or nails to secure the roof tiles to the roof.
